Art Group
We are all beginners and enjoy to do all kinds of art. Meeting weekly in school term-time, we have occasional video courses where we all work on a common project, and other times where we enjoy doing our own thing in different mediums, acrylic, water colour, pencil drawings, felt pen, monotype and other forms of printmaking.
We like to experiment and we share our work privately in the kiwiconnexion website, a community outreach of AIM Publishing. Sometimes various paintings we have done end up as icons on kiwiconnexion.
Sew and So
Twenty-nine years ago women started knitting, sewing and crocheting items such as blankets, hats booties, cardigan, jumpers and singlets for children in need, and the elderly in care. Today the group meets twice a month and includes four of the original members along with women from the congregation and local community.
The group also donate their work regularly to Kids First programme at Middlemore Hospital
